Black, with deep espresso edges when held to light. No head at all.
Wow, huge bourbon barrel, oaky notes with lots of dark fruit notes as well.
For such a big beer it is quite palatable. Just enough viscosity/syrupy feel to be enjoyable without becoming overwhelming.
A very enjoyable, decadent beer. Leaves me hoping to see more in the barrel-aged/Quad style from them again.
