sunflower oil yellow beer with a large creamy, thick white head.
Really strong, fresh hop aromas.Lemon zest and orange peel.
Taste is slightly more balanced than the aroma with some biscuit malts but the hops are there juicy and mouth watering. Nice.
Good mouth feel for the "style"..easy to get down but not thin.
Very nice IPL..a true IPL this time not the usual blonde ale in disguise.

Pours pale yellow in color with a hint of haze and a massive, creamy white head that drops to a never ending lace.
Fruity, orange, and a bit tropical in the nose with light pale malts.
Carbonation is seemingly dull, but the beer is creamy, smooth, and somewhat light. But the flavors open up bright and fruity with more orange, followed by light dankness, grapefruit, rind, grass, young rhubarb, and floral notes. Malt is the backseat driver, offering just enough crackery and bread crust flavors to keep hops on the road. Finishes soft, with a smack of citrus, some coarseness, and a light herbal tea-like linger that fades into a moreish dryness.
A solid IPL, I mean Northwest Pils, that's not over-the-top. I'd like to see more of the lager-side shine through, but overall I dig its oranginess, crushability, and suggestion of a lager finish.

22oz bottle, creepy big-ass, apparently self-pleasuring frog on the label.
This beer pours a clear, pale golden yellow colour, with two flabby fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and well bubbly bone-white head, which leaves some stellar splotchy webbed lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.
It smells of edgy orange and white grapefruit pith, crisp, crackery pale malt, white chalk, and further leafy, grassy, and floral hop notes. The taste is grainy, gritty pale malt, biscuity crackers, more white chalkiness, muddled citrus rind bitters, a touch of lager yeast, and peppy leafy, earthy, and grassy hops.
The bubbles are fairly evenhanded in their sassy fizziness, the body medium-light in weight, and plainly smooth, a minor tackiness growing out of that flinty, stoney character. It finishes rather dry, the crackery pale malt and lingering citrus/green leafy hops getting along swimmingly.
A well-made, and enjoyable hoppy lager - not over the top IPA-style, but instead more of an amping up of the endemic bitterness. Easy-drinking, and flavourful, I'll have no problem sipping on the rest of this bomber while I deal with the influx of updates on my laptop - restart your machines more often, take my word for it!

Light, golden body with slow rising, fine-bubbled carbonation and a thick, chunky, white head. Melon and floral aroma; mild pine resin. Low-key malt flavor; slight biscuit taste with a twinge of honey dew melon; strong hop bitterness starting midway and lasting through the finish. Medium bodied; crisp and mildy dry finish.
A tasty, mild mannered beer that is easy to drink. The hop aroma and flavor are the highlights. There is a delicate melon and berry fruitiness to the beer that blends well with the level of hop bitterness. It sports a lager's smoothness that makes knocking this beer back all the more enjoyable.

The body of this beer has the appearance of freshly polished brash. The white froth pops energetically and lingers.
Smells of pineapple and orange and not much else.
Tastes grainy with a fruity middle and a fair amount of spice and faint bitterness at the back. There's not a lot of India-anything going on here.
Somewhat chalky and crackery but mostly crisp with a medium mouth-feel.
I wouldn't go out of my way for this one, but then again I've kicked very few women out of bed for eating crackers too.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light golden amber with a thin white head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of grassy, slightly dank hops, mild biscuit malt. Flavor is citrus and grassy hops with the same light dankness as the aroma, light biscuit malt that is buried by the citrus flavors. Medium bodied. Interesting; hopped like an IPA but with a light lager body. The hops are strong enough that they overwhelm the light lager flavors. A pleasant, hoppy lager, but the hops were a bit unbalanced. Interesting experiment, but maybe this is why the ale style was used for IPAs.
