Sodbusted VII: The Simcoe Awakens

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a fine, one finger white head with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of biscuit and lightly caramel malt, citrus and fruit hops, orange and melon. Flavor is pale, lightly biscuit malt, citrus and grassy hops, grapefruit, melon, a touch of pine. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. I almost forgot this one in the fridge, but it does not appear to have lost it's fresh hop flavor. The taste is kind of all over the place with citrus fruit, some dankness and noble hop grassiness, but all delivered with great herbal complexity. A fresh hop series I look forward to each year.
