Cellared 1.5 years. Very dark opaque brown pour with a beige cap. Boozy tequila with barley and rich caramel in the nose. Taste has the tequila powerfully but not as hot in booziness, molasses, caramel, earth and an oaky bite with the barley in the finish. Feel is very very warm, chewy, barley and booze textures are the strongest with decent bite. Enjoyable but don't need to have again

This series has been fun, from the amazing bourbon treatment to the ho-hum Pinot version. Two of these 500ML bottles left.
The pour is the standard muddy brown with a nose that mostly caramel with meek bits of earthiness & booziness.
Massive! Reposado has sanded all the sharp elbows off the Anejo version. Tequila still present but softer, allowing more oak & caramel to bleed through it & the head-butt of booze. Following the stars are bit players of warm earth & something vegetal (but not unpleasant). Finishes with booze. Booooze. Dry as they all are, & even with the effects of alcohol I think I could take a bottle of this solo. Maybe two. Might have to chase the first one with Red Bull.
Very good beer.

#5 of 7 from the 2020 series. Interesting contrast with the Anejo barrel aged version. The tequila notes here are much more subdued. Up front there is plenty of that intensely charred caramel. Not many layers or subtle nuances, but I love it. The finish adds a bit of lime and tequila notes that compliment rather than overwhelm the bass beer as the Anejo version does.
So glad I get to try all of these.

A: The beer is very hazy dark reddish brown in color. It poured with a quarter finger high beige colored head that gradually died down and left a collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of tequila are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of tequila from the barrel aging.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and very smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The tequila flavors are very prevalent in the taste of this beer and the alcohol is also noticeable, which impacts it drinkability.
