Pint at Westside Taphouse in West Salem Oregon.
$7.00.
9 PM And still 90 degree.
Pours a nice clear bright corn yellow. Small white head. Great lace.
Husky cereal and floral hop aromas. Lovely
Taste the same and very crisp.
Well carbonated but at the same time the mouth feel underneath is silky . Lovely hoppy ending.
Great pilsner on a really hot day.

Look: Light yellow and nearly clear with an unbelievably good-looking head that slightly settles to a foam version of undulating hills and leaves great lacing behind
Aroma: Limes, lemons, fragrant floral hop notes – sweet box, Bearrs lime, and winter daphne amongst them, pilsner malt, kumquats, and soda crackers
Taste: Lemon, lime, and a huge and pungent floral bouquet get things going hitting hard and fast out of the gate as more subtle floral hop notes and pilsner malt trickle in behind. Cracker-like malt tries to peek out but the hops refuse to settle down through the close
Mouthfeel: Light but full, very clean and crisp throughout, medium-high carbonation, and a crisp finish with some very light dryness
Overall: This is quite good and unique. First off, this is totally a pilsner through and through but it’s a really hoppy one at that, plus the Crystal hops bring a fun lemon/lime/kumquat (sharp and strong citrus fruits, IMO) punch uniquely different from European or traditionally brewed ones. They also add a ton of floral notes but different and stronger than a typical Noble hop would or even a newer-school version of something similar and more often used (Sterling, Mandarina Bavaria, etc.). Tasty, interesting, and a fun idea that I look forward to trying more of in the series.

this is real good, a cool idea for a series too, a solid and classic dry and light pils base that features a new hop each time. it is pretty hoppy overall for the style, but its not overdone, not out of proportion, and i think this hop works super well in here, although this is the first one i have had, and knowing gigantic, they are all excellent. great clarity here, majorly pale and light looking, great head on it from the tap almost two inches tall. the nose is crisp and crackery on the malt, clean and tidy on the ferment with a little european character to it, and mostly hops, which start early and have a nice pop to them, noticeably fresh, in this instance with grassy and gin-like qualities, some minerals in the mix as well, good water chemistry evident. the flavor is about the same, a little more of the lager yeast in the mix, still insanely light on the grain side in terms of flavor, but the beer has some body and isnt too thin for this much flavor. the hops bring soft pine, some clean tangerine, and some mild spiciness. the beer is flavorful, refreshing, well carbonated, dry, and very much professionally executed. its still a pils too, not an india pale lager, hop driven as it is, and on the whole i was stoked on this. i hope to get a chance to drink some other variants of this one, a great pils!
