Poured from 500mL bottle into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: rich, dark brown hue with nice brown highlights when held up to the light. The body is clear, and the head is two fingers of frothy tan foam. Looks great!
Smell: caramel malt with a light nuttiness and maybe a hint of chocolate, as well as a nice yeasty aroma. There's a little bit of a vegetal character here, too, which does detract a little bit.
Taste: again, the malt is caramelly and a little bit chocolatey; hops are a little more pronounced than in some other Czech dark lagers I've had. That being said, the combination is earthy and appealing.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a nicely drinkable Czech dark lager. I'm into it.

Very dark brown. Cold brew coffee color. Mild head. Deep, roasted malt smell. Dark coffee bean flavor. Some sweetness. Dark, thick feel with significant effervescence. Heavy for my taste.
