Mondiale 2013. Nicely crafted black beer, not a black IPA as not too hoppy. Mostly focuses on the roast. Very lacy black bodied, chocolate malt, a little like a stout. Nicely drinkable and refreshing, nicely undercarbonated helps. Well hidden alcohol.

Thanks to oregonskibum for this extra.
Pours like a stout but maybe a little less oily in texture, nice coffee head.
Smells of mild roast, chocolate, candied citrus, some piney hops.
Taste is more of the candied orange citrus character, sweetness and roast from the malt profile, not as bitter or roasty as some examples of the style, pretty well balanced.
Very solid beer, not the best or most memorable example, but nothing to complain about.
