On draft, pours jet black, no light gets through, with a full fluffy light brown head.
The nose is very intense, lots of alcohol, sweet molasses, dark fruit and raisins, and just a bit of roast and oats. The flavor is a bit harsh, bitter dark chocolate and roast up front, than transitions to a sweet dark fruit and chocolate, before jamming right back to a dry and bitter cocoa ending. It is a bit much to choke down and leaves alot to be desired.
