Enjoyed this at Bluejacket. Nice balance as the strawberry was slight and didn't take over the brown ale. Loved the modest Lacto sourness but did not drink like an 8.6%.

750ml bottle with the tag. Served in a snifter 4/13/2015.
A- Darker reddish-brown body, slightly purple hued, one finger white head with not much retention time or film or lacing.
S- Heavy on the sulfur, hefty but fleeting strawberry aroma, not much brown ale sweetness, a bit of diacetyl that seems to cover up the brown ale base. Hmm..
F- Sulfuric flavours, slightly rotten egg-like, good strawberry aroma in the middle that gives way to a bit of a slick, buttery finish that isn't screaming butter and diacetyl, but certainly off flavours that detract from the beer.
M- Medium-thinner bodied. Minimal head, no retention or lacing. Finish is slightly buttery with a small amount of strawberry that is starting to wear off, still plenty of sulfur on the finish.
O- Eh. Definitely a very average American Wild Ale. Wouldn't recommend going after this one when there are a lot of other AWA options out there.
