A crisp & tart wheat ale brewed with 30% malted, spiced with locally grown lilacs and naturally sourced in our horizontal laco tank. Aged on 150 pounds of fresh, locally grown blueberries from Westmoreland Berry Farm, then finished with more lilacs and a touch of lavender.

I've enjoyed a lot of sour/fruited beers this summer and Blue Velvet is one of the better ones. The lilac is present without over-floraling (not a word, I know) the beer, the blueberries have an awesome aroma and a nice taste, and overall it's refreshing and a nice change of pace without becoming weird.
