The tour at Bluejacket included a sample of beer in the process of finishing fermentation -this was the beer we got to try -enjoyed in a snifter at fermentation temperature.
The color is bright red with almost no head but some bubbles in the solution. The smell is fruity and tart with cherry in the aroma. The feel is sour with a slight malt sweetness lasting astringent quality.
The taste is very good with lots of sour and fruit flavors with lactic lemony accent. This was a treat to get to try with less carbonation and more sweetness than usual(I am guessing)with nice sourness level and still very bright and fresh.
