This one opens citrus, and stays there. Nose is lush tangerine, flavor is a muted version of same, feel is light and drinkable. A very nice take.

16 fl oz pull tab/$4.49 USD plus tax at a beer store in New Orleans, Louisiana. No canned on or best before date appears on the label.
Served cold into a stemless wine glass.
"India Pale Ale with Mosaic & Vic Secret Hops." 7% ABV.
AROMA is rich in passionfruit and cool tropical fruits. Floral and citrusy without seeming acidic. I don't get any blueberry from the Mosaic hops, which is disappointing, but overall the hop profile seems to be interesting.
Maltwise, I get 2-row and I guess some flaked wheat. I don't detect crystal or caramalt.
Quite inviting.
TASTE: Follows the aroma. Hop profile is dominated by Vic Secret imparted passionfruit trailed by shallow pineapple-like flavour, vague floral hop character, and some indistinct tropical fruit (I guess I get some melon?). Pleasantly fruity across the board without bringing any concomitant citric acidity.
Malt backbone stays out of the limelight but tempers any hop bitterness with mellow sweetness from 2-row and malted wheat.
Balanced and enjoyable, though one could imagine it more complex and with better depth of flavour. The absent blueberry flavour from the Mosaic hops in particular is a letdown.
TEXTURE: Mellow and soft on the palate, with a smooth wet mouthfeel that lends itself naturally to refreshment. Medium-bodied. Perfectly carbonated. I find no faults.
OVERALL: A well brewed IPA with a pleasant hop flavour that really lets Vic Secret sing. The Mosaic helps draw out the pineapple, and the beer's impeccable balance makes it easy to drink. Still, one can imagine it better with deeper more expressive fresher tasting hop flavours, and despite its high quality I doubt I'd pick it up again given its lofty $4.49/can pricetag. Price has no bearing on my rating, but it's worth noting there are equally good and better IPAs out there that cost far less.
Solid work from Bluejacket, but not a top tier IPA per se.
Low B (3.55) / GOOD

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours cloudy orange yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus and piney hops. Tastes of citrus hops with bright floral notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.
