Brewed in collaboration with Bierstadt Lagerhaus.
Dreaming is a robust, yet balanced beer brewed with 73% beechwood-smoked malt & lagered for 8 weeks. crisp, creamy, smooth & malt-forward, this strong lager shows notes of toast, toffee & smoke, with a drying nuttiness in the finish. brewed in collaboration with our friends at bierstadt lagerhaus (denver, co)

Can indicates "smoked Bock":
Pour, produced a lot of light tan head, maybe a bit too aggressively billowing, as i seemed to have spent itself and ended in no more than a thin ring after all the drama. The nose is a mix of light spice, light smoke, and some sweet dark fruit like raisin and fig. The taste brings that fig up front, but with somewhat of a mild pumpernickel bread flavor. Smoke fills in from the sides, and there is a somewhat distinctively fruity Bock note that comes through. It is a little sweet-leaning, but not so much for a Bock and has a nice bitter counter - mainly from the smoke. Feel is a little sticky, medium plus in thickness, and at least medium on weight. Overall, I quite enjoy it and am not sure why I didn't rate it when I added the beer over 5 years ago.

Purchased from The Blue Door as a 16oz can for $6. Poured into a cognac snifter.
L - Pours a rich leather-brown. Clear, from what I can tell. Topped-off with a one-finger pale tan head, which goes away pretty quickly. Really nice lacing.
S - Savory smoke is extremely upfront. Leather and toffee. Toasted hay and malt.
T - Closely follows nose. An extremely umami - almost Marmite-like finish. Mineral. Well-balanced.
F - Medium-bodied, with light carbonation. Smooth. Really easy-drinking. Clean finish.
O - Seriously intense smoke character, but without making things super-heavy. Something interesting - I can really taste the water in this one, but in a good way. Really "fresh"-tasting. I'm not too fond of the style myself, but I would recommend this brew.

Had on tap. This beer does not shy away from being an in-your-face smoke beer. Smoke, smoke, and more smoke to go along with caramel and some earthy citrus.

Had on tap at the Grand Delancy in Manhattan. Peat, smoke, hay on the nose at first, then burnt toffee and roast. Lots of smoke and meat on the palate, with a semi dry finish.
