The Machine has done it! We are absolutely thrilled to introduce 895 — a bold new Imperial Red Ale crafted to honor hockey’s greatest goal scorer. This powerhouse ale is packed with flavor and symbolism, paying tribute to one of the most iconic records in sports history.
Brewed with a staggering 238 pounds of specialty malt — a nod to the legend’s playing weight — 895 delivers rich, assertive notes of caramel, toast, and toffee. It’s balanced by bright, aromatic layers of grapefruit pith, red currant, mint, and black pepper for a finish that’s as complex as it is satisfying.
Every ingredient tells a story: Kazbek hops for his Russian heritage, Chinook for the year he was born, and Strata, which came on the scene during that unforgettable Cup-winning season. And at 8.0% ABV, this Imperial Red Ale wears the number that made history.
This is a beer built on power, precision, and pure goal-scoring glory.

On tap at the brewery. Appearance is reddish brown with a creamy head. Aroma and flavor feature toasted caramel malt, citrus and pine with a hint of spice. Very good, complex and quite drinkable for the abv.
