Picked this up at The Beer Box Playa del Carmen. Hand-capped bottle. Tasted 25 December 2013.
It's a gusher; I lost close to half the bottle to massive foam-over after popping the cap. Pours totally opaque, a pale yellow shading into dull brown. The head, once it finally relaxes, is white, and leaves little lacing. The cloudiest beer I've ever encountered, and it also has a thick film of yeast on the floor of the bottle and glass.
Smells like a typical English IPA; herbal hops, fairly bitter. Nice.
Taste is pretty solidly bitter. It's a clean bitterness, well-backed by unobtrusive malts. Very nice.
Feel excels for the same reason the appearance does not. Full-bodied, medium-high carbonation. Lasting.
A really good IPA. Pleasantly, potently bitter, with clean flavors. Probably the best Mexican beer I've had to date.
