Drank at Cheeky Monkey. Reviewed from notes
A - Pours a slightly cloudy golden colour, head reduces quickly.
S - Small spice but overridden with sticky sweetness.
T - Up front some nice spice but quickly taken over with a sticky sweetness that is probably a result of the yeast used. This unfortunately lingers way too long and the dry spice does not return and no sign of citrus.
M - Nothing wrong with this aspect of the beer, and it displays genuine characteristics.
O - I'm so supportive of Australian Craft brewers trying these type of Belgium beers. They are so hard to genuinely replicate. Even the yanks mostly get them wrong. La Serene is the only genuine attempt of many. This is way short of a genuine Belgian Tripel but nonetheless I enjoyed it for what it was.
