8/3...brewery draft. Copper color, malted. Heavy white foam. Sweet malt nose, very faint. Heavy heart scraping bitter. Heavy bitter. Boozy and hits hard. Well made.

Really nice double IPA ... the local grown honey added to this was quite a surprise . Really liked it.

Pours orange-amber with lasting thin head. Lacing sticks.
The smell is of mild citrus with caramel and butterscotch.
The taste is of some juicy citrus with sweet biscuit. It has a strong buttery taste - not sure if it is from the honey or from diacetyl. Slick feel, but smooth with a bit of a sticky aftertaste.
Not sure if this is a bit infected or was meant to be this way. Despite the buttery quality, which is mild, it's a decent, sweet-leaning DIPA.

Served in a snifter at Firkin.
Never heard of this brewery before, but I'll definitely give it a go regardless. This stuff pours a clear tawny amber topped by a finger or so of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises grapefruit zest, melon, honey, light caramel, and a touch of pine resin. The taste brings in more of the same, the fruit and melon really blending nicely with the nascent pine. The body is a straight medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a pretty damn solid DIPA, one that loads the hops in without overdoing things. In addition, I'd say the honey helps things along by keeping them lighter than usual. I now look forward to more from these guys.
