Pours a beautiful head that leaves a nice lace.

Aroma is overwhelmed with citrus, but there's a little horse blanket and white pepper as well.

Taste is even more overwhelmed by the citrus. They went way overboard imho. It's a shame because there's some nice yeast flavour here for such a light brew.

Mouthfeel is bubbly and dry.

500ml bottle - ah, so the 'zeste' part of the equation here is actual citrus zest (this may have promise after all).

This beer pours a clear, bright medium golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, rocky, and lightly fizzy dirty white head, which leaves some sudsy low-lying cliff face lace around the glass as it gently subsides.

It smells of musty orange and lemon peel, thankfully subtle Brett funk, coriander and black pepper spice, grainy and crackery pale malt, a soft wheaten cereal character, and a further indistinct exotic melon fruitiness. The taste is somewhat sharply funky Brett, still musky and stale-seeming domestic citrus rind, chewed-up pink bubblegum, gritty and bready pale malt, wheat crackers, more melon juiciness, and a blended earthy spiciness.

The carbonation is quite active in its palate-probing frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and sort of smooth, what with the funk and citric acridity loafing around like they fucking own the place. It finishes off-dry, the juicy essence helping to stave off the typical influence of the latter.

Overall, I liked this one a whole hell of a lot more than I was anticipating - the zest and juice tempering the effect of the still inexplicable to me guest bacterial agent. Would I have it again? No, but that doesn't mean that I can't proclaim its quality in the here and now.

Nice pale straw colour. Effervescent carbonation. Lacey head.
Citrus rind and Brett funk aromas. Refreshing and enjoyable flavour. Crisp and clean finish. Overall a good beer in a style I like.

Good saison. Very unique. Full body. Tasty. Pepperiness from zest and peppery pepper. Hazy. Brett on nose and on tongue. Will undoubtedly stock up next time I'm in the belle province.

Bottle: Poured a clear bright yellow color ale with a nice large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light cereal notes with dry zesty flavours is more subdued then I was expecting. Taste is a nice mix zesty flavours with some dry light Brett notes and some light cereal notes. Body is about average with good retention and some lacing. Not bad but flavours were a lot more subdued then I was expecting.

Different, but unexceptional experiment. Why need juice? Bottle from Peluso. Could have been better without the juice. Not so much saison character really.

Appearance - this beer pours an extremely cloudy golden color with 2 and a half fingers of foamy head, The head took a while to fade down and still sits at half a finger.

Aroma - Brett funk, bubble gum, Orange peel, Melon, mango, grainy malts, coriander fresh brown bread!

Taste - Again beautiful brett funk like bubblegum followed by a nice fruity bomb. orange peel bitterness, mango, melon, some grainy malts, leafy hops, and fresh brown bread.

Feel - Light medium body, carbonation inbetween velvety and creamy but quite refreshing!

Overall - Another fantastic summertime beer. I'm finding a lot of these lately. Truth is I'm partial to a good brett beer but this is really fantastic. The flavors and aromas mesh well the feel fits it perfect. Wow!

Cloudy straw in color with a thin white head.

Nice funky Brett smell with aromas of citrus and hops.

Really nice taste from the Brett, really acidic and funky with a nice lemon taste.

Really nice mouth feel, really fizzy.
