At Wildwood's pub this weekend, I was served a nice golden brown beer, with very little head and carbonation. It was hoppy and toasty on the nose, with a more subdued British hop presence. The flavour was nicely malty, with a sort of caramelly biscuity base and a slightly sweetish fruitiness that I couldn't pin down (more research!!). A very sturdy dose of hoppy bitterness rounds it all out.
Finally! A local craft brewer that isn't afraid of hops!
This bitter was smooth and easy drinking -- fantastic.
