Also known as the Long Iron Pilsner, with a bit of hop aroma. Noticeably bitter middle, well carbonated, and bit of bitterness at end. Popular here. They say its the best pils to be had in the city and I can accept that. Not quite satisfying, could be smoother .

This light golden colored beer, served in the Chek logoed stem glass was by the the most popular drink at Wildwood on this night.
It has a short but full head that left a thin lace. Slightly sweet grain smell, with light flowery hops. There is some sweetness and hop flavor, but it is well balanced not too sweet or too bitter. Crisp and clean with a full flavor. Cant go wrong with a happy hour price of 3.75 for a glass.

The Chek Pilsner (with a check mark for a logo) at the Wildwood has always been hit and miss with me in the past. Yet when I brought 3Vandoo and his fellow football coaches to the Wildwood on their last day in Cowtown it turned out to be the big hit at our table that evening. I thought I'd give it another chance. I wasn't disappointed.
Served as a clear golden colour in a stemmed glass, nice head retention, with beautiful ringed lacing. Sweet and metallic grains on the nose, accompanied with floral and herbal hops. The grains are sweeter than metallic in the flavour, mellow hops on the finish rounding out a fine balance to the whole taste. Saaz hop aftertaste. Crisp refreshing mouthfeel, an easy and satisfying drinker. It's a good sessional, although I'm already partial to the Red myself at this point.
