Looks fine and tastes even better. This Christmas Ale is heavy on the spices and lighter on the honey. Maybe it’s the nutmeg. Thought this was a very good winter warmer

From the can, it pours a clear darker amber color with a modest head that diminishes to nothing quickly. The nose gets some caramel malt and some spice - cinnamon and possibly nutmeg. The mouth follows with the spice being really evident.

12 ounce draft pour into a tulip.
L: Small off-white head with medium retention, dark amber and clear, ruby highlights.
S: Weak nose, hints of baking spice, and orange peel.
T: Very spicy up front, clove and coriander, honey, balanced hop to malt, spicy right through, citrus zest hop flavor, has that dry spice overall flavor.
F: Medium body, soft start but crispness quickly builds.
O: Decent Winter warmer but a bit over spiced for my palate.

I don't see a date code listed on the bottle.
Appearance: The body of the beer is a wonderful shade of brown that looks a bit like dark tea. The head is very thick with an off-white color and a thick, creamy texture. It has very good retention and lacing. It is picture perfect in a glass.
Aroma: It has a light aroma of cinnamon with a touch of caramel. There is also an aroma that smells a bit like cloves.
Taste: It has a very nice spiced flavor which tastes a bit like cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. There is a light toasty flavor to the beer.
Mouthfeel: The beer is medium bodied, smooth, and easy to drink. It only has a light touch of bitterness which is presumably from the spice.
Overall: If you are a fan of brown ales and spiced beers then I would really recommend this beer. The spice level is just above medium. It's a very wonderful Winter Warmer and I would drink it again.
