Celebrating the Swedish National Day with the most Swedish beer type I can think of: A pale lager at 2-2,25 % ABV, a “lättöl”.
The colour is gold (8 EBC), the liquid is clear. The white head is finger thick and compact. Some lacing occurs when the foam sinks down.
The smell is mild and somewhat frowsy. Sweet notes of pale malt, hints of wort. Some neutral notes with distinct metal flavours.
The taste is light with quite a lot of oxidised paper and pulp flavours. Some metallic bitter flavours. The aftertaste is short with some wet paper.
The carbonation is sharp, the bubbles large. The liquid is watery and a bit dry.
