I stopped into the Markusturm Hotel and had a 0.5l glass of this on 28SEP12...
Had a rich golden color with a touch of haze. Steady, strong carbo was present, with a foamy, thinning white head. Lacing was OK, for the most part. Nose was quite mild, with some grassiness evident. Body was a solid medium, and it felt fairly smooth going down.
Was a little crackery, with a touch of toast and some spiciness. Had a suggestion of honey as well, and it was fairly bitter in the end. A somewhat different take on a Helles, but fairly quaffable. Prosit!!
