its a fine line but we should probably have a hazy new england pale ale category here, as this one not a new england ipa, but not a proper american pale either, solid beer though for sure, and its cool they have added this arm of their business, used to be just pints alehouse, now they are doing house beers too, in addition to their heady guest taps, a solid selection in here! this is pale soft yellow, frothy headed from the tap, uniformly hazy but not overly dense, and sporting a wonderful nose that is mosaic driven without the cat pee part, just the canned pineapple tropical juiciness and some other fruity hops behind it, lemongrass and meyer lemon and maybe peach, quite fresh and vibrant aromatically without much from malt or yeast. the flavor is similar, mosaic forward but some others in play as well, stone fruit ripeness, light green onion, coconut flesh, and melon. slightly wheaty on the malt side but really pale and light, and its fermented clean and dry. nice carbonation and attention to detail overall, a little stronger for a pale maybe but very drinkable hazy beer on the whole here. i was stoked on the two beers i had here, seems like these guys are a bit ahead of the new brewery curve already. cool stuff!
