Food was a bit overpriced and overcooked on each of my last three visits, but who cares, go for the beer selection.

Beer list changes all the time and bartenders/servers all know their stuff. Lots of great European and harder to find Belgian options, too.
They’re always playing great music too.

Very solid bar with a great selection of craft beers. The best in Newport RI. Bartenders are all knowledgeable about beer, and they have quite the food menu as well.

Had drinks here at night after dinner. There is a long bar down the side, then some tables in the rest of the space . The draft list was heavy on Belgian and European imports. They also had a cask beer. It was Christmas time so they had the draft list divided between Christmas themed beers and regular. All high quality, top notch beers, but you pay for it, considering most are rare imports. $10-$12 for 10 oz pours of some of the beers. Service was good. We didn't eat dinner, only ordered desserts, so I won't rate the food.

Norey's is my favorite spot in Newport for serious craft beer. It is tucked away on Broadway Street amongst dozens of other bars and restaurants, but it stands out once you step inside. Upon entering, you are greeted by nearly impossible beers to find on draft in Rhode Island like De Dolle (yes Stille Nacht!), BFM, and OEC. I was also there for their Stout Tap Takeover when they had Black Albert Russian Imperial Stout, KBS Stout, Bourbon County, Speedway Stout, My Blueberry Nightmare, and other tasty treats. The food is also very tasty, especially the Smoked Wings and Baked Quattro Formaggi. There are other bars serving decent craft brews in Newport, but the quality doesn’t compare. I'm not sure how they get this kind of selection, but I hope they keep doing it.

By far my favorite spot in Newport for a drink. It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the visit - especially for a beer drinker with a palate for the obscure or unconventional brews; they have a huge selection available, whether tap, cask, or draft. The food is also fantastic - seriously, try the hummus.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and personable - they've made a couple of recommendations to me that were absolutely spot on.

Seriously, why are you not there right now?

If you are ever in newport or in the state of rhode island for that matter go out of your way to get to noreys. If you fancy yourself a sour/funky/off the beaten path hard to find beer lover this is the place for you. Fun atmosphere, zero pretension, military discounts, great staff. its heaven on broadway. They also have a phenomenal wine list and even better food. We went during folk festival and will be returning every time we happen back into newport. A truly rare gem.

10/10 for service and quality.
Guaranteed the ultimate Belgium selection in New England, with fine dining to a company it.
Norey's dominates all bars from Providence to Brooklyn. This is hands down the best craft beer spot in southern New England.
Needs more North West coast breweries to balance it out.

Done.

Easily the best beer destination I've been to in years. Can't wait to go back. If you're into serious craft beers in a really cool setting, this is your place.

The bar absorbs you into its atmosphere. Get comfortable in your stool, because you are staying a while. The place is kind of funky, yet warming, with cool beer label etched mirrors, rich wood, and even a little bit of a 50's diner feel. Cool vibe with laid back music and old movies playing the night of our visit. Norey's lends itself to starting conversations.

Quality and selection are second to none. Beers from all over the world on tap - and the good stuff. The tap lines are nothing but quality. St. Bernardus, the latest Stone one-off, Mikeller, Green Flash, Founders, and some Belgian rarities I was not even familiar with highlighted the lineup on our visit. The bottle selection is incredible also. I recommend treating yourself to one of their rarities. I could not resist in spending a few extra $$ on a Bommen & Granaten during the visit. Aged WWS, several Mikellers, rare Founders, odd Belgians and hard to get one-offs populate their bottle list.

The service was second to none. Scott was the bartender this night and the man knows his beer. Very knowledgeable about their products, good recommendations, and obvious industry knowledge. Not to mention, he seemed like a plain good guy.

We did not have any food during our visit since we had just eaten dinner, but based on the quality of the rest of the establishment, I would expect it follows suit as well.

Check this place out - you won't be disappointed. Having visited some of the better beer destinations in New England, it's right up there with the likes of Novare Res and Ebeneezer's.

I went to Noreys last weekend for the first time with a few old friends of mine who had come to visit me from New York City. Knowing these guys have a lot of great bars where they live I wanted to take them somewhere unique and special in my area that they might enjoy and after just a little bit of online research I found Noreys.
This place had one of the coolest beer selections we had ever seen, everything from imported German, Belgium, Norwegian, and Italian beers on tap (21 in total) and over 100 rare hard to find beers by the bottle I spent some quality time looking through all of them while we all caught up and had some good laughs.
The bartender told us the list of brews is changing pretty much every week and I plan on making the trip back to Norey's soon to check out whats new!

Went to Norey's on my first day in Newport and then went back a few days later before leaving. Don't really care much for the food - what I had and saw around me was to spicy for my taste. Now the beer selection is outstanding - nice variety on tap and a very nice beer list, which is broken down by style. My main critique is not the food, but the barware. Several of my glasses were not beer clean, having several nucleation points on the walls. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this place and grateful that I was told about this place.

Norey's is Newport's version of craft beer heaven. Any beer enthusiast who looks at the beer menu will suddenly discover so many beers that they've heard of an always meant to try. The trick is to create a strategy to drink the beers you REALLY want to try today...and then start prioritizing for further visits. How does one rank La Fin Du Monde against Stone Brewery's Imperial Russian Stout? That's for you to decide.

Norey's is the place to come to if you want good beer! They offer an extensive list of bottled beers and there 12 taps are constantly changing. The manage to get really hard to find beers and the owner even had a keg of dogfish head world wide stout stashed away that he tapped long after you no longer could get it in RI...a real treat! They are heavy on belgians and IPAs in the bottles but have really something for everyone. The food is also great...a small eclectic menu with reasonably priced specials every day. And on Wednesdays there is live music...bonus! We love this place, the beer, the food, the people...do yourself a favor and check it out!

I Love Noreys! The bottle selection is extensive, the owner/chef/beer buying guru has one of the highest beer IQs in the region.
The taps are few, but always changing with something special.
The one thing that sets Noreys apart from most Beer Geek Meccas is the amazing local, fresh seafood and the other affordable offerings on the menu.
TRUST ME- you have to try the fresh raw oysters with your fine beer.
This a great place for everyone, this is a place where the date of the beer geek will be happy due to the high food quality and from what I hear is a good wine list(not that I'd drink the wine)
Winter is a great time to visit the sleepy oceanside community on Broadway in Newport.
The owner/chef/beer geeks name is Tyler, he loves talking shop, ask for him!
My mouth is watering just typing about it,can't wait to go back...

Norey's is definitely an unique place. Best over 100 beer list I've ever seen and some of the Best food in RI... without question. Specials are always exceptional and their beer taps are constantly introducing rare brews. The wines are perfectly stored and the restaurant comes complete with their own wine/beer expert to help the novices!
Very lively, energetic place and live music has made Norey's a real hot spot as well as a hang out. The staff are on top of their game and the Grumpy Chef is famous. A loyal fan they have made out of me....

This is one of my favorite spots in Newport to get craft beer and good food - I was there last night. The draft list isn't huge (16 taps i think) but they change frequently and they are all craft brews, no filler, and usually heavy on the Belgians. The bottle selection for beer is extensive (~100) and includes a significant quantity of barrel aged beers and lambics/sours.

They have a good wine selection as well, and have a nitrogen pour by the glass system for about 10 of them. I've been told by people who know wine that there are some very good deals on their bottle list.

The menu is mostly american style, and the food is fresh and usually locally sourced so any fish special is fresh and awesome. The menu is on the pricier side in terms of cost, but certainly worth the money. The desserts are top notch as well.

I'd recommend this place to any beer enthusiast, as well as anyone looking to have a great meal with good beer and wine.

So glad I found this place. Living in Atlanta for 6 years and being spoiled by The Porter, Brickstore and the like I spent two months bouncing around the Long Island sound, Martha's Vinyard, and Nantucket area with work looking for a good quality beer bar with a good selection and man does Norey's fit that bill. The owner and chef Tyler knows his beer and loves his sours. You can always find the best selection in town of beers from all over here. I have had BFM selections, countless guezues, Belgian and Italian beer galore. Always a great selection of barrel aged stouts, ipa's, and sours on tap and bottle. If you don't see something you want on the menu and you know your beer ask to speak to Tyler and tell him what you are looking for, he has a private cellar selection that rotates often. If you are looking for a nice atmosphere with friendly staff, the best selection, diversity, and quality of craft beer from all over, with great food and a good crowd. Norey's is your spot. I love this place and look forward to being back up this way next summer!

Just had a Brooklyn Black Ops stout at Norey's, and it's all that it's hyped to be.
