Served on-draught into a .5L bierkrug.
HEAD: 2 fingers worth. Not too thick or creamy. Retention is poor.
AROMA: No aroma whatsoever.
TASTE: Cream, caramel malts, slight chocolate and toffee hints. Not right for a helles bier, but it has nice complexity and is well balanced.
TEXTURE: A little coarse but no so much that's scratchy or dragging. A bit buttery. Wet and refreshing. Delightful.
OVERALL: It's price pretty high by German standards but it's very drinkable in spite of veering from the intended style a fair bit.
