2012 Vintage-
A: Pours a hazy dark mahogany color with a very small head that fades quickly to no real lacing.
S: Aroma of wine, some spice, dark fruit, bit of caramel sweetness and definitely an alcohol presence.
T: Taste of dark fruit and spice, some malt sweetness with some grain in the background. The flavor seems to blossom as it warms. Very mild bitterness and a clean and quite dry finish.
F: Fairly light body, smooth with a definite feel of the 12% ABV. It becomes more intense as it warms.
O: A very enjoyable Barley Wine, I am looking forward to trying this again after it matures.
