A - Pours a nicely hazed, straw gold color. Medium sized, creamy, smooth, frothy white head. Average retention leaving faint patches of lace.
S - Very light on the nose. Good amount of grainy and slightly bready malt. Touches of fruity yeast and spice.
T - Similar to the nose. Fairly light with grainy malt flavors being strongest. Fair amount of phenol and fruity ester flavors come out mid sip that are not exactly enjoyable, but not off putting. Fairly sweet with a touch of the typical spiciness. Some fruity/floral hoppy flavors. Faint alcohol heat on the finish, but overall it is quite well hidden.
M - Medium body with average carbonation. Fairly smooth with a slightly drying finish.
D - The flavors weren't off putting, but there was nothing there that made me want another. Alcohol was pretty well hidden.
Notes: A little too heavy on the grainy malt flavors for my taste. Fairly sweet but it didn't have enough fruity, yeasty, and spicy flavors to balance out the malt. Phenol taste was present but not too strong. Nothing I'd get again, but this is a small, new brewery so it may improve as they get a handle on brewing this amount of output.
