This beer is so good it is stupid...
There is a ton of vanilla, coffee, chocolate flavors coming through this beer. This is a great homage to the original bourbon barrel aged beer from Goose Island. Greg Hall would enjoy this beer and tip his cap to the brewers at Timber Creek.
I don't think this beer is going to last very long once the local craft beer fans figure out how good this is. Even watching the occasional beer drinker, unsure of what to order, stumble across this with a sample. With one swig you could see it on their face after about a second of processing it. Followed by an, "Oh...wow...." Back to reality, "I will take one of those..." Every single time.
I will say it is inconspicuous on the menu. I was looking for it and it was hard to find. Maybe it was done that way on purpose for guys and gals like me that really appreciate what this is. But even the average consumer is going to seek this out after stumbling across it. It is going to stick in their mind. And what a great time of year for a beer like this.
Do yourself a favor and get this beer before it is gone. There is a limited supply of this seasonal. It is worth at least a 1-2 hour drive to get a couple growlers of this beer. It is not an easy beer to make and turn around so most breweries shy away. This beer eats cashflow and I applaud the investment.
