Pours an amber colour with brown tinge to it. Slightly cloudy with off-white head. Decent look to it.
Smells a bit chocolatey with a touch of cocoa and coffee. Bit of rye spice reminiscent of cinnamon. Quite subtle, but not bad.
Taste is mildly spicy, with again a touch of roasted coffee beans on there, slight vinous hint giving a slight peppery Shiraz character. Fairly empty and dry. I appreciate what they're trying to do but they could amp up the ABV a bit and have a decent beer. Just feels watery, thin and weak at the moment.
Decent enough flavour, I'd just like a bit more of it. Feels like an experiment to try and make a decently-flavoured light beer, and yes they've succeeded, but light beers are just pointless. Make it 4% and you still have the experimental factor but just a more interesting beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
