Opaque black color. Slightly creamy brown 2 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with no legs but a decent swirl and lacing. Flavors of cherries, berries, dark grains, wood, toffee, chocolate, coffee, light vanilla and molasses, soft oysters, with herbal hops. Silky medium body with a soft crisp and prick. Medium to strong strength finish, light vinous grapey fruity feel, with some whiskey notes. A mix of roasted and bread, with a sea like salty sensation and a proper barrel effect. Warming but still remains refreshing, yet a bit dry and alcoholic. More accessible than the usual double, although packed with lots of flavors and being quite complex, it feels kinda mellow. Still highly drinkable, delicate while delicious. Overall high quality craft.
