Bought a bottle of this from Tanakaya in Mejiro, Tokyo. Poured into a Baird pint glass. Just a forward -- i'm guessing that this was a Schwarzbier because, even though I can read Japanese and have read the website, they do not list exactly what type of beer this is (even on the bottle). However, the mouthfeel and the appearance were spot-on Schwarz, even though the ABV is a bit high. Regardless, I loved this brew! Beautiful roasted notes in the smell and a taste to match with a mouthfeel that is both smooth and memorable. If you have a chance to try this German-inspired Japanese brew out, get it and enjoy!
