Pours a dark golden copper color with amber edges and a thin off-white head that quickly settles into a thin ring. Minimal spotty lacing left behind.
Aroma of this beer is pretty bland with faint earthy hops and a strong caramel malt backbone. Pretty disappointing for an IPA to have so little hop character. Just some faint resins and subtle tropical fruit notes. Prominent malt sweetness with caramel, toffee and dark fruit.
Medium body with a stronger hop presence than the aroma hinted at. Some dry, earthy bitterness with grassy kind buds and sticky resins countered by a caramel malt backbone and alcohol sweetness. Surprisingly boozy for only 7.2. Again, malts are stronger than preferred with plenty of bread, biscuit, caramel and toffee sweetness taking away from the pleasantness of the earth hops. A bit too "balanced" for my liking with muted hops and a heavy malt backbone.

A-Clear deep amber, not much carbonation, one finger head with nice lacing.
S-Malt, some earthy spice, not as much in the way of hops as I was expecting.
T-Starts with some malt then a nice earthy taste. Ends with a mild bitterness. THe description said cantelope flavors, those are no where to be found.
M-Medium bodied, some carbonation and a tad bit of hop bite.
O-Another miss in my eyes. it was a decent IPA but it didn't come together very well, especially with the missing citrus notes.

On tap at the brewery. Smell was fresh - lighter scents like grape, melon and grass. A little of the resin character mentioned in the description. Taste was more of the same with additional pine resin notes, but the body seemed too light. Higher alcohol than I would have guessed. One of the first beers from Revolution that didn't have the expected amount of heft to it.
Decent but a bit disappointing, and not something I'll revisit given the other hoppy options from Revolution.

Draft at the Kedzie Brewery, served in a footed tulip glass. Quick review from notes.
Bright golden orange color, sharp clarity, visible carb trails when held to the light. Thin layer of white foam on the surface, drippy lace present around the edges.
Soft aromas of cantaloupe and grassy herbals. Hull Melon and Hallertau Blanc come through nicely. Flavors are similar, subtle cantaloupe or honeydew, complex herbal hop character. Light to medium bodied and easy drinking for sure. Would have got a growler to go but it was after last call already. Will have to return for more sometime soon.
