12/9/17: 9 ounce poured into snifter at Revolution Brewing Kedzie warehouse location ($10 w/ tip). Dark black pour, thin tan lacing. Bourbon coffee aroma. Strong dark roast coffee taste, bourbon and chocolate offsets the coffee, really liked the balance. Very good tasting beer. Very thin mouth feel, extremely thin pour and very smooth going down. Overall great beer, well done Revolution!

Limited single keg on tap at Rev taphouse. smooth bourbon booze with coffee, dark bitter chocolate and nuttiness. Strong bourbon spice and barrel oak. A great Gene variant.

Thanks to Thomas & Jenny for this one!
Easily the highlight of a beer soaked day.
Jet black orb topped with a layer of brown mocha foam, served in a small snifter.
Flecks of spotty lacing and a ringed halo around the edge of the glass.
Powerful rich coffee aroma. Maximum intensity, lots of depth.
Hard to dissect but there was smooth roast and dry bitter dark chocolate in spades.
Taste is similarly intense, brimming with rich coffee and roastiness.
Finshes dry with a lingering coffee aftertaste, and a dry woody element from the barrel.
Loads of dark chocolate and espresso. Creamy and smooth, a great sipper.
Nice beer to start the day with.

RevBrew's best barrel-aging yet. Phenomenal. Bean Gene's more intense big brother.

Fantastic aroma of fresh coffee beans, roast, bitter dark chocolate, barrel - oak, some vanilla and coconut. Very rich, smooth and has a strong finish. Nice heat.
