Somewhat deceiving name, the 2016 edition is a citrusy hop bomb.
Purportedly 100% El Dorado this year.

Bright gold, creamy head of foam with a ton of lace and lasting coverage.
Aroma is grassy and citrusy, stonefruit.

Taste is citrusy and creamy, white grape, dry botanical bitterness in the aftertaste.
Nice and drinkable, tasty showcase of this hop varietal.

Pours a pale golden yellow color with a two finger frothy white head that very slowly settles into a thick, lasting cap. Very good retention taking a while to settle and leaving streaks of soapy lacing behind.

Floral grassy hop aroma with delicate earthy resins and grassy pine countered by sweet pilsner malt. Some grass and hay along with light fruit sweetness, bread and biscuit.

Fuller end of medium body with a crisp spicy hop bite that lingers over the sweeter notes and light malt backbone into a dry finish. Decent amount of lingering bitterness with grassy pine needle, hay and dank resins countered by straw, hay, pils malt and light fruit sweetness. Well balanced, refreshing and very easy to drink. Nothing out of the ordinary but still a pretty nice beer.

Tasted in a 16 oz pint glass from draft at Main Street Cafe. Look is clear gold, medium head, and nice lingering lacing. Smell is citrus fruit, grass and sweet pale malt notes. Taste is juicy citrus, grassy wet hop notes and biscuity malts. Feel is light and crisp with a clean smooth finish.

Wow. This was my first try at cask beer, and while for most, it may be off-putting, for me it was exceptional. Revolution has brewed an excellent beer here. I told the bartender, links taproom in Wicker Park chicago, this is what beer tasted like in 1700 most likely. Relatively low carbonation, low refrigeration, but big flavors! Low head, great color medium nose of spice, malt, and medium hops. Taste FAR exceeds what I was expecting. IF you can get it (heard it was limited release), then try it!

Brewed for the 2015 Chicago Craft Beer Week, poured a clear, straw colored gold into a pint glass. Had a very small head of tight white bubbles. Outstanding lacing as you drink the beer, lots of patterns, with a patina of lace on the surface. The aroma is of citrus with a whiff of fresh grass. This is a new hop varietal, Mandarina (full disclosure, the farmer is standing next to me). Have to say I'm impressed. Made with 100% Pilsner malts, this ale has the grassy, tangerine, and tinned biscuit taste that you can suck down, with a light, refreshing clean mouthfeel. Overall, a dangerous beer that disguises its alcohol.
