I had this at Extreme Beer Fest 2018 on tap. It was so good that I had to get a second serving later in the evening-
For a 17% abv stout this one was an absolute winner. Great look and sweet nose. Taste was rich roasted malts followed by very smooth sweetness and smokiness. Maple, toffee, molasses, brown sugar, bitter chocolate and vanilla. The bourbon barrels added that nice smoked wood complexity without much of an alcohol burn on the palate. Did not taste anything like a 17% beer! Really well made beer with all things considered and easily one of my favorite stouts.
Now I just wish I could get 5 bottles of this stuff...
