A new hero is soaring in from a completely new direction–the effervescent Brut-Hero, sparkling with white grape, passionfruit, and lemon notes and capped with an extra-dry champagne-like finish.

12 ounces, “filled 6-4-19”

Pours near clear and lifts a large and lasting off white cap...thicker strands of lacing left on the glass.

Mild sniff, with honey and fruit coming to mind.

On the palate it’s sweet, honey malts, some lime, melon and mango. Refreshing and tasty...was purchased as part of a 12 can variety pack....

12oz can, snifter glass. Slightly cloudy golden straw yellow body, one finger frothy white head, good retention, not much lacing. Smell is white grape, grapefruit and a touch of piney resin, light caramel. Fairly dry, lemony and herbal notes overall. Flavour follows as expected for the style it is a fairly dry, grape-forward, rindy finish. Caramel, lemon, a bit of grapefruit in between. Mouthfeel is lighter medium bodied, good carbonation, pleasantly dry, nice hop bite behind it all. I don't love Brut IPAs, but as far as the style goes, pretty solid.

An aggressive pour yields a beautiful, crystalline golden beer with a soapy off-white head. Very fruity nose, with lemongrass and passion fruit most prominent.

The taste has the white grape flavors referenced on Revolution’s website, and a generous lemongrass flavor as well. The mouthfeel, while very nice, isn’t as dry as found in the brut style.

I love the Hero series, and this is a really drinkable, but it’s a step below the others in the series. And that’s okay.
