Canned 9/14/21; drank 11/19/21 @ the Yarchives.

See-through orange/yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a big, noisy off-white head; frothy lace.

Jolly rancher & skunk spray notes in the nose.

Sticky medium mouthfeel.

Skunk spray, jolly rancher & dry ganja flavors.

Ten years ago, this would have been a bold statement, although not very pleasant; in 2021, this is just a drag. Permanent pass.

I got a couple of cans of this beer from a mixed 12pck that I bought from my local meijer store. It poured a slightly hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had subtle bitter citrus fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright citrus fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Not quite clear gold with near 1.5 finger head. I smell pear, citrus, watermelon candy, hint of pine. Flavor comes across as sweet, presumably from the hops. The balance is bitter. Medium mouthfeel.

APPEARANCE: Clean amber, with a huge off-white foamy head. Clouds of lace.

AROMA: Tropical fruits and floral, with pineapple and stone fruit alongside citrus. Nice!

TASTE: Tangy fruity hops, smooth with a hint of bitter at finish. Impressive and refreshing modern IPA.

Look: Clear copper color, one finger head that dissipates quickly, lacing visible as are the slow rising bubbles
Smell: Citrus, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, with pear, watermelon, stone fruit
Taste: Very minimal sweetness, bitter across the palate and on the back
Flavor: Follows the aroma; citrus, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, with pear, watermelon, stone fruit with some sweet malty goodness for balance. And the balance really works.
Feel: Full mouthfeel, soft carbonation dry finish
Overall: I like this! Glad I pick up the mixed 12-pack. I wanted to try something different and this fit the bill. Though El Dorado is in the name the Citra hops really come through to me. But behind the Citra you get the notes of pear, watermelon and stone fruit from the El Dorado hops. The mix really works. I would buy this in a six pack if it were available. Looking at the other reviews after writing mine, I apparently like this a LOT more than most people. I guess I like a beer that helps me identify the flavor profile of a hop. I know Citra and when I mentally subtract that out I begin to understand El Dorado.

First brew from Revolution. Golden copper color with a stiff fruity hop note and some herbal and pine influences. Some bread note balance as well but not extensive.

The taste isn't overpowering, but features solid complexity, with a chorus of melon and citrus notes and a touch of crystal malt and hop tones of pine, ground pepper, mint, grapeskin, and a vague grassiness. A little different tasting than some in the style. Worth a try.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of floral notes, orange juice and toasted caramel. Sweet orange, caramel and toffee.

Pours a decently carbonated yellow. Fruits are delicate with watermelon, cantaloupe, pear, lemon and guava in the smell with dusty hops. Body is very dry and carbonated, with hops being the star, but all fruit nuance has been cut down besides melon. Feel is hoppy, actually wet in feel despite dry taste, and bubbly

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 12/11/2018. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, watermelon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, watermelon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, watermelon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.2%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not aggressive. Awesome El Dorado showcase, with added Cascade/Citra in the background. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a great balancing bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness from lingering/crisp resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Another great addition to the series as expected.
