Exiled to a single Whistle Pig bourbon barrels for 14 months, our Maple Imperial Stout has escaped, pushing even more maple, chocolate, and vanilla character to the front of the line. A kiss of sweetness from an addition of 100% pure maple syrup helps round out this rich, aged, and full bodied conqueror.

Crowler filled 12/9/18; drank the same day @ the Yarchives.
Black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small dark tan head; minimal lace.
Fresh earth, burnt caramel, dark chocolate & mild bourbon heat notes in the nose.
Thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Caramel, dark chocolate & mild maple syrup flavors up front; fresh earth, mild oak & faint bourbon heat notes on the finish.
Complex but easy to enjoy. Revolution is dominating Chicago's barrel aged beer scene right now.
