I look forward to many years of extra-old Deth's Tar barrels being miraculously discovered. This one is fairly muted on the nose by comparison, but the palate brings plenty of oak, raisin, and PX booziness to make the crowler worth the price of admission. Quite a treat, this is what I wish VSOD would be in a more available format.

Crowler filled 3/5/21; drank 3/7/21 @ the Yarchives.
Black appearance.
An even pour yielded a nice tan head; minimal lace.
Dark chocolate, cream, oak & mild bourbon notes in the nose.
Thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Dark chocolate, vanilla & mild oak flavors up front; mild bourbon notes on the finish. Dark cherry notes emerged as this warmed.
Very easy to drink, with a depth that makes the journey memorable. A banger!!
