Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 3/4/24.
Appearance: rich chestnut hue with a clear body and a finger of frothy light-tan foam. Pretty.
Smell: sweet and rather nutty aroma with hints of caramel and chocolate. Light but lovely.
Taste: quite rich for a 3.8% mild, with a good toastiness, a bit of caramel, little hints of that chocolate, and a little bit of that nuttiness from the aroma. I rather like this beer.
Mouthfeel: light body with a good carbonation and something approaching creaminess. Hard to achieve real creaminess in a beer this light.
Overall: super duper drinkable dark mild. It has a good density of flavor and complexity for a mild; I’m very much into it!

16oz can from Tavour. Dark clear brown pour, thin off-white head. Sweet, malty aroma, nutty, cola. Taste is woody, nutty, mild sweetness, dry. Seems thin, to me anyways.

Four fingers of khaki foam; deep amber body with excellent clarity; good cap retention; heavy ring; soapy lace. Sweet caramel malt nose. Semi sweet caramel malt taste. Medium light body, moderate minus carbonation. Overall an easy drinking malt forward ale.

Red brown in color with good clarity and two fingers of tan head. Decent retention and thick lacing.
Brown bread, a kiss of molasses and whiff of carbon dioxide in the nose.
Clean tasting. Flashes of cocoa. A touch of toffee sweetness mid-palate. Dry, bready finish.
Full bodied for the style with zippier carbonation than expected.
Easy drinking goodness, even if the mouthfeel is a little meatier and zippier than I prefer.

Cola looking pour, with a nice off white head, that slowly recedes to a ring. Minimal lacing. Smells of bread, nuts, and malt. Toffee and caramel malt lead the way on the flavor profile, with a hint of cocoa. At 3.8% abv, an easy drinking sessionable ale, brewed to style.

On tap at Revolution
Chicago, we’re back. I decided to make a last minute trip out here when me and my friend managed to get tickets to see Fall Out Boy at Metro, a huge under play. While I’m here, I naturally had to come back to Revolution. We’re starting off nice and light with this English Dark Mild, a style not often found. Let’s get into it
Pours a clear reddish brown with a finger of creamy light beige head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose is predictably delicate, but it’s still quite nice. I’m picking up on aromas of nutty malt, toffe, floral hops, brown sugar, raisin, wildflower honey, and light biscuit
It has more of a bite to it in taste, but still shows a nice restraint. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting toasted grain, bready malt, earthy hops, toffee, black tea, light lemon, and honey. The swallow brings notes of black tea, biscuity malt, toffee, earthy hops, dark toast, and light toasted peanut
A light body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in slick and smooth beer. Finishes neutral and refreshing
A solid way to start the afternoon. Goes down ridiculously easy
