Robust porter with peanut butter.

Sweet, creamy peanut butter enlivens the dark, roasty flavor profile of our Eugene Robust Porter.

This beer should not work. Peanut butter can get smoky so quickly, robust porter invites this. And yet this works! Roasty black body, brown head, spotted lacing. Smell and taste really do have nutty peanut butter waltzing with the roasted porter I can’t believe it. Earth and nut, creamy pb and chocolate, char and well malt, but hey this somehow comes together to work for 12 oz. Feel is a bit eccentric with the smooth roast and nuttiness though

Went back to try some revolution after completely ignoring there products for a few years due to the lackluster brews. And this just goes to show I should have stayed clear. It's just incredibly basic and dull pb porter. Yes it has a PB flavor. But it's a pretty watery mouth feel. Had next to no head on it. Not much of a scent either. I think the only selling point was it was stronger than most in ABV. But all in all it left me still craving a real full bodied PB porter.Long Route by Empyrean is incredible and cheap to boot.

16oz can acclimated to 52°F and poured into a stout glass.

Pours an impenetrable super dark brown with a foamy, British khaki head, receding relatively quickly to a cap and leaving no lacing.

Initial aroma is sweet, strong peanut butter, maple syrup, note of black licorice.

After agitating, I notice the peanut butter strengthen.

Initial taste before swallowing is a little full light blue??? A little fruity, with peanut lurking in the background.

On the inhale before swallowing I get a whiff of peanut butter. After swallowing I first get a flash of captain crunch cereal, followed by a little dull bitter, which turns into dry grassiness in the finish in the back of the mouth and tip of the tongue, being joined by a hint of red berries in the same spot. I notice peanut butter on a second sip, which I couldn't taste before, but overall this is a little diluted.

Feel is slick, like seltzer (including carbonation). Just kind of watery.

Overall I'm not terribly impressed, it's good but I'm not terribly impressed. The flavors present are good but it just seems diluted.

I tried the Coffee Eugene variant when I was visiting Chicago last year. I didn’t think it was anything amazing but solid enough. I feel like a Peanut Butter variant might be even more interesting if it’s not to overbearing. Let’s crack it open and find out what it’s all about

Pours a very dark brown with 3 fingers of creamy tan head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

The nose definitely suggests peanut butter, but there's a nice subtlety to it as well. I'm picking up on aromas of peanut butter, dark toast, cococa powder, medium roast coffee, vanilla ice cream, raisin, brown sugar, and a touch of herbal hops

Unfortunately it leans sweeter in taste, losing some of its definition. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting milk chocolate, peanut butter, toffee, dark bread, brown sugar, raisin, vanilla bean, light roast coffee, and nougat. The swallow brings notes of peanut butter, milk chocolate, vanilla ice cream, dark toast, burnt caramel, light roast coffee, and light brown sugar

A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes truly neutral

It's definitely a bit too sweet, but it nails what it set out to do I suppose, and it's pretty damn good either way

16oz can. Can bottom has a date stamp of 'FILLED NOV/02/2022'.
Brown colored body. Two fingers of fizzy cola head quickly disappears. No lacing.
Aroma has the roasted malts covered with chocolate and peanuts. Some vanilla sweetness.
Taste is dark roasted malts, chocolate, cherry, and peanut. Has a cola herbs presence.
Thicker, creamy mouth feel. Slight stickiness. Slight dry chalk. Supportive carbonation.
Remindful of a craft cola, with herbs and treatments. Peanut profile stays more realistic than artificial.

Canned 11/2/22; drank 11/29/22 @ the Yarchives.

Brown/black appearance.

A violent pour yielded a HUGE noisy tan head; frothy tree-rung lace.

This smells like liquid Reese's Pieces.

Creamy medium mouthfeel.

Reese's Pieces in the flavor, too, with a hint of raspberry.

Enjoyable, especially if you like Reese's Pieces (I do!), but a few ounces is enough.

L: Pours a dark brown black with a no tan head or no lacing on the glass.

S: Notes of chocolate and peanut butter mix with some roasted malt, wish the Aroma was a little stronger.

T: Smooth peanut butter, smooth chocolate, some caramel.

F: Oily and slick with a medium body.

O: I like how the peanut butter is done in this beer, but the rest of the beer is a bit of mediocre.
