2021 vintage; drank 10/16/21 @ Revolution's Taproom.
Black appearance.
Minimal khaki head; nice lace.
Oak, marshmallow, milk chocolate & vanilla notes in the nose.
Thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Milk chocolate & oak flavors up front; cream & bourbon heat on the finish. As this warmed, the bourbon emerged.
Bold, robust and delicious.

Pitch black, thick, viscous. Thin velvety mocha colored head. Aroma is oak, bourbon, musty wood, vanilla, cocoa. Lovely. Taste follows the nose with oak, vanilla, bourbon, wet wood, roasted malts, maple sugar, caramelized brown sugar, I even think I taste splinters … but seriously this is a battle beast and it’s delicious. feel is moderately bodied, smooth, rich, with a distinct bite to it. Overall a lovely beer and one I’d happily drink anytime.
