On tap at the brewpub.
Pours clear dark brown with a small off-white head and decent lacing.
Aroma is really dark fruity, mainly plum and raisin from what I'm getting, with some sweet brown sugar.
Flavor is also lots of dark fruit - raisin, prune, plum, and fig - with sweet caramel malt and toffee as well as molasses. Just a touch of booze.
Smooth syrupy palate, fairly full-bodied.
Decent overall. I didn't really peg it as an old ale, but I'd believe it.

I had this on tap into a snifter.
The beer is a clearish medium brown, has a really nice thick and creamy tan head. This beer to me is rye, not an old ale. Its light smelling a little rye and hops, taste is super easy to drink, nice bite at the end.
