This final Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel of OG Jamo-nilla base has spent five years in our stacks. Rich, silky chocolate notes erupt through a lattice of caramel and American oak.

5/16/25 - (Draft - Revolution Brewery) (Chicago, IL) Draft Notes: Received comped ($8 + tax retail) by Revolution Brewery as part of the Deep Woods Season ticket promotion. 5 oz, 14.3% ABV poured into a plastic sample cup. 2021 Extra Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout with vanilla. Revolution Beer LLC, 3340 N. Kedzie Avenue, Chicago, IL.
Appearance: Dark black base, rich creamy dark tan head lingers around the rim. Base impenetrable. Looks great. 4.25
Aroma: Nice minty flavor and bourbon lead, baker’s chocolate and vanilla compete for bronze. 4.25
Taste: Fuller flavor than the aroma, a very strong smooth bourbon and nice rye competing for attention. The base is Consistent with the aroma, mint and smooth bourbon, base backs well. Vanilla faint to null. Really enjoying, this held up well. 4.5
Mouthfeel: Easy to drink compared to the high 14.3% ABV. Body luxurious, full, creamy body, like French Silk pie. Bourbon and mint flavors start to finish. 4.75
Overall: There is no added mint component to this pour, so don’t want to mislead anyone, but that’s what I pulled and really enjoyed. Base, bourbon, very light vanilla, possible fade or intentional. Either way this is the beer I came out specifically for based on my 2017 experience, and this hit all the high notes. Only my lowered tolerance prevented me from getting more this trip, but hopefully I can return for one or two more if the weekend kegs last. 4.5

Had on tap. Midnight black pour with a tan thick collar. Huge barrel leads the nose, but gooey dark fruit, caramel and vanilla emerge to meld in. Fantastic translation of those flavors in the taste plus chocolate and dulled jammy berries lingering. Warm, so smooth, barrel forward yet rich. Amazing, 5 years aging really did pay off!

Had this on draft 12/15/21 @ Revolution's Taproom.
Black/brown appearance. Small tan head; decent lace.
Oak, cream & bourbon notes in the nose.
Creamy, flat, thick mouthfeel.
Cream & oak flavors up front; dark chocolate & a bourbon kick on the finish.
Creamy and easy to drink, but also substantial. Killer!

Had on draught at the Taproom.
One of the best Rev beers of the year for me. I always loved jamo-nilla and the extended aging here in Heaven Hill barrels has taken this one to a whole different level. Rich notes of cream, oat, chocolate and boozy bourbon warm your palate and your heart. What I wouldn't give for one more glass of this one.
