Before departing for Phase Three Brewing, our pal Kyle Damon brewed this traditional Belgian Quadrupel and we socked some away in a single Templeton Rye Caribbean Cask. A rush of dark, dried stone fruit and cherry pit pervade the aroma while the palate is treated to hints of cocoa and rum-infused rye whiskey.

Had on tap. Brownish black with a tan collar. Big dark fruit and barrel pair well with candi sugar, caramel, vanilla, rye and earth. Taste starts like the nose before yeast with esters and a whisper of spices enter in, caramel and plum builds over time. Feel is completely new world, more malt than yeast driven, warm barrel leads all, very smooth. A unique beer that is well made, points for being bold

Had this on draft 12/15/21 @ Revolution's Taproom.
Mostly opaque orange/red rust appearance.
Minimal tan head; decent lace.
Mulled apple cider, raspberry & faint wood notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Raspberry, well-preserved old book, mulled apple cider & mild booze heat flavors.
Best in small doses, most likely, but this was unique, interesting & quite tasty!

Had on draught at the taproom.
I really liked this one - the underlying quad was nice, but the rum barrel complimented it so nicely. Dark fruits, earthy notes, caramel, spicy, delicious. Wish I could have taken a can of this one home to spend more time with.

Pours dark brown, not too different from the stouts on offer at the Dark Mode release. There the similarities end, with grape, Belgian esters, lemon verbena, banana, and holiday spices on the nose. Thick, moderately syrupy. Good barrel oak presence, peppery rye spice right at the finish. Very smooth, an excellent barrel aged quad.
