The ultimate Chicago pairing, made with more than 450 pounds of Garrett popcorn. Brown sugar, rye malt, lactose, and kosher salt contribute crème brûlée sweetness and a lightly salted finish.

Crystal clear, dark, ruddy brown with a slight 1/8" head of off-white tight bubbles that falls to a cap and leaves the glass clean behind.

Buttery, brown sugar aroma with a hint of fresh air.

Flavors include brown sugar, molasses, and maybe a touch of salt. Doesn't suck.

Mouthfeel is full and syrupy.

Overall more hype than caramel corn, but I'm sure the joint advertising is helpful to both.

Pours a clear red brown with a vigorous three finger head. Aroma is light, sweet with caramel and modest chocolate ever so slightly present. Butter is the closest aroma I can associate with. Taste is sweet, light with notes of burnt caramel and malt. I do not taste any salt here. There are better brews out there.

I was excited to hear they collaborated with Garrett’s popcorn. Upon opening, the smell of caramel is faint. Tasting it, the taste of caramel is also faint. But the beer itself still tastes really good. I’m disappointed that there wasn’t a more forward caramel flavor. But happy that the brew still tasted great!

16 fl oz. can, canned SEP 08, 2022. A new one to me from Revolution Brewing, I believe it's supposed to be Caramel Crisp as two words but I could be wrong?. I digress, "Caramel Popcorn Ale" per the can.

Poured to a Duvel snifter.
Pours a maple syrupy looking color but appears more of a mahogany red in the glass. Half finger of sticky tan head that leaves some spotty lacing and some bubbles.
Aroma has a slight touch of that buttery-ness that Pumking has, but not nearly as strong. Toasted malts, slight toffee / caramel, booze fumes, some vanilla extract. Booziness comes through a bit more than expected considering the beer is only 7.0% abv.
Flavors of toasted malts, brown sugar, caramel / toffee. marshmallow, vanilla, hint of alcohol. I'm not getting anywhere near the amount of "caramel" I thought I would; the beer is sticky & sweet, but it feels less like caramel and more like malt. Virtually no flavors of salt, popcorn, or corn / grain at all. Would definitely like to taste more of the buttery flavor we have in Pumking here, more "popcorn" flavor if you will.
Sticky & sweet. Slightly syrupy, and medium-full bodied. Fairly easy drinking despite my harsh criticism, but not what I had expected when I heard "Caramel Popcorn Ale". It's listed as a American Brown Ale, which is definitely to style for me, but seems very mediocre at best.

Murky medium brown body, tan head. Smell and taste is dominated by caramel malt, taste is sweeter in this delivery. Otherwise has accenting notes of mild yeast with slight toastiness, a whisper of vanilla and a kiss of rye. Simple but fun with malt smoothness defining the feel. Did pair well with cheddar popcorn

What an excellent beer!!

First thing I noticed was the beautiful golden red color. Very bright and rich. Notes of caramel, malt, and a little bit of salt were the most prominent for me. This was smooth and drinkable. Overall, I really enjoyed this and would absolutely seek out again.
