Supermassive Café V.S.O.D. - Single Barrel - 14.3%
Following a three-year nap in a single Buffalo Trace Mash #1 bourbon barrel, this Deth’s Tar sweet component gets the “big dumb” coffee treatment we could all use after a long repose. With ten pounds of Freshly Roasted® Dark Matter cocoa-fermented Catuai coffee in this single barrel, it’s sure to put a glide in your stride and a dip in your hip.

Had on tap. So full disclosure I adore the original SMCD, so it shouldn't be a surprise that I loved this one as well. Pitch black shimmering pour with a brown cap that settles into a ring. Smell and taste are the same: huge rich coffee bean and complex barrel, oozing with caramel, molasses, lush chocolate fudge and a hint of wet earth and tiramisu in the finish. So smooth, rich, massive, and surprisingly drinkable. The wife liked it

Coffee, maple, oak, roasted malts, smooth and luscious. Absolutely delicious beer that showcases the coffee in a brash way while still showing off the amazing complexity of long barrel aging.
