It’s definitely the sweet complement - lots of sweetness, maple, brown sugar and milk chocolate with cream and bourbon notes. Oak and tannic notes compliment a very dry finish. Nice beer, but not my favorite of the night

Had on draft 11/17/22 @ Revolution's Taproom.
Black appearance.
Small tan head; no lace.
Oak, dark chocolate, rich vanilla & faint dark fruit notes in the nose.
Thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Dark chocolate & rich vanilla flavors up front; oak & faint dark berry notes on the finish.
Lumber laden bliss; can't wait to try the "regular" V.S.O. Dark Mode!
