Revolution Brewpub (Chicago, ILL) 9/18/20 SANCTUARY 19: CURSED MAN RYE BEER ABV 14.7% - 5 oz sample pour, because well, day drinking. Revolution just tapped Sanctuary #19 Cursed Man, a 14.7% Rye Beer.
Appearance: Tan Bronze pour, clear, minimal carbonation, off white minimal tan head. 4.0
Aroma: Light sweet rye. 3.5
Taste: Light rye and silky smooth bourbon, lemon honey backing. Chill and mellow, very nice. 4.25
Mouthfeel: Wafer thin, no carbonation, strong ABV well masked, medium creamy body, silky smooth finish. Extremely smooth, like a fine whiskey shot. 4.25
Overall: Glad I had a sample of this before leaving, I beer the reader in terms of boldness, but an excellent nightcap to try another excellent Revolution brewpub outing,. Light, bourbon smooth and excellent, well balanced. Love being lost in the Deep Woods! 4.25
